Nethra Kuman bags the Gold at the Gran Canaria Sailing Championship, Las Palmas, Spain

This regatta with international participation was organized by the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria from November 4 to 7, 2021 at Las Palmas, Spain.

Gran Canaria is the most frequented sailing ground for top sailors because of the year-long good climate and sailing conditions. The sailing fraternity at the island is very active and conduct many regattas including two Olympic sailing week every year. At this sailing championship where 20 participants including 3 Olympians and many top sailors from 7 countries participated, Nethra Kumanan won Gold being ahead of top Spanish top sailor Martina Cacho (silver) and Lithuanian Vicktorija Andrulyte (bronze). Other prominent sailors in the event were Yumiko Tombe (Japan), Paige Cadlecoat (Aus) and Marrie barrue (Fra).
